Since the establishment in 1992 of the Romanov Fund for Russia by initiative of several senior members of the Romanov family, the Fund has been instrumental in many charitable activities in the Russian Federation and in the CIS republics of Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
The year 2007 saw a major drive to aid Medical and Rehabilitation centres located on the shores of the Baltic Sea and as far as to the lake of Baikal in Eastern Siberia.
In July 2007 the XII Russian Summer Ball took place at the Cavalry and Guards Club in London and once again considerable funds were raised and donated to the Romanov Fund for Russia. My sincere thanks to the generous response from the sponsors and providers and to all the patrons and committee members, which made a substantial support to the activities of the Romanov Fund for Russia possible.
I am also grateful for a number of private donations received during the year allowing our Fund successfully to continue its humanitarian work in 2007. I am now actively preparing the programs for our 2008 activities.
